About Dr. Alison Mumme

Dr Alison Mumme is an Australian trained specialist General Surgeon.  She provides professional general surgical services including laparoscopic surgery and she has a special interest in paediatric surgery.  Dr Mumme is a recognised endoscopist for both gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (Advanced) - The University of Sydney

• Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) Honours - The University of Sydney

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery

Experience:

Dr Mumme completed her general surgical training in NSW, primarily in the Gosford/Newcastle Network.  She completed a year of general surgical fellowship in Lismore.  Following this she completed a further fellowship year at Concord Hospital focusing on laparoscopic surgery.  She has also completed a fellow program in Paediatric General Surgery at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Dr Mumme enjoys being outdoors and travelling.  In her ‘spare time’ she is kept busy with her two delightful, energetic children.
